DMCA Policy

Bean Stew respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) Policy outlines the procedures for reporting alleged copyright infringement and for filing counter-notifications regarding material removed from our services.

It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on the Bean Stew website or service, please send a written DMCA notice to our designated Copyright Agent with the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work: Provide a description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the infringing material: Provide a description of the material that you claim is infringing and its location on the Bean Stew website or service. Please be as specific as possible, including URLs where applicable, to help us locate the material.
  3. Your contact information: Include your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement of good faith belief: A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury: A statement by you that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature: An electronic or physical signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Filing a Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our Copyright Agent with the following information:

  • Identification of the material: Identify the material that Bean Stew has removed or to which access has been disabled, and the location (e.g., URL) at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • Your contact information: Include your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement of good faith belief: A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • A statement consenting to federal court jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside of the U.S., for any judicial district in which Bean Stew may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
  • Your physical or electronic signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
